I picked up my new SD40 yesterday and after a scan of the manual, I field stripped & lightly lubed it per instruction, swabbed the bore & chamber dry, reassembled and headed afield.
I then shot a mix of Federal American Eagle 180 gr. FMJ and Federal HST 165 gr. from 7 yards offhand. The pistol and both mags worked without failure. The trigger was not as bad as I was lead to believe but this is coming from an old DA revolver shooter.
This SD40 is adequately combat accurate for me and for what I'll primarily use it for, a range plinker / practice weapon. Pictured is my last six shot string. So far so good on this one.
