Last year I saw a Sigma that had been highly customized. It had mag well cut-outs and a stippled grip. But what really caught my eye was the contoured slide. Both the front and the back of the slide had been rounded as well as the ejection port. Does anybody know who does this type of work. I saw the gun at www.wendelltacticalconcepts.com, but apparently this site is no longer around. I am the type of guy to modify my own guns, but I'm afraid that slide contouring may be a little out of my reach. :-)

Any ideas would be appreciated and any pics of customized Sigmas is a must!

Don't know about the Sigma, but Dan Burwell does this exact kind of work - stippling, 'melting', etc., - (among other things) on M&P's. Might be worth a phone call.

www.burwellgunsmithing.com

Hope this helps.

The thing I'd be most apprehensive about when mowing material off of a slide, would be whether or not the loss of it's mass, would translate into loss of enough inertia to induce cycling unreliability? I know there are engineers around the Forum that could answer the question. But the mathematics of the formula you'd need to use to make it reliable are WAY above my pay grade!
