Lesson learned.
I know to some this may seem like a "no brainer", and it does to me now, but I figured maybe someone else might learn from my lesson.
I hate to say this, but I feel stupid! I was checking out my new 3913NL today and while dry firing it I heard some rubbing and the trigger felt gritty and real heavy. So I took the slide and grips off to see wear it was coming from. When I got it apart the trigger moved smoothly with no rubbing noise. I figured it was because there was no tension on the hammer so I went to put the grips back on and noticed that the stirrup was shiny on its edges. I thought to my self "could this be the cause?" Well, I lightly greased the stirrup, the mainspring and lightly coated the inside of the stirrup plunger and put the gun back together. Man, what a difference. The trigger pull is 100X smoother and there seems to be less trigger weight.
I do not know why I did not think to do this when I cleaned when I first got it. It just never crossed my mind. All I thought about was the rails and internals.
