S&W Model 41 Bomar Rib Screw Size ???

I just purchased a used Bomar Rib for a 7" barrel. It is attached to the barrel by 3 screws. Can anyone tell me what size (diameter, thread pitch, and length) Bomar would have supplied with that sight rib when it was new. The barrel is a "A" series that has not been drilled and tapped at the factory. Where can I buy 3 screws all so. Thank you, Richard Ramsey

Can you pull one of the screws and measure it? I have screws, glad to send you some. It would be a #6, #4 or a #3. Probably.

I have seen many of the screws on the model 41 be of the 5-40 variety, that includes holding down scope rails and bases. Your best bet is to measure the diameter of the screw hole in the bomar base and use a fine thread.
Do not tap your original barrel unless you don't care about collectible.
There are many used barrels out there you can put holes in. Best of luck.

My bet is that it's a 6-48. I've used them before. You can order them through Brownells.
