With all the cheap 7.62X 25 ammo available now, what would be the feasability o converting one of my S&W 9mm to that cal? Should be just a barrel and possibly a different recoil spring. This is a pretty good cartridge but I don't care for any of the guns currently chambered for it. Anyone know of anyone doing this or capable of it?
Thanks

Nope. The .30 Mauser or 7.62 Tokarev is longer than a .30 Luger or 9mm Luger.

And before you ask the 1911 38 Super mag is to short to take 7.62X25 ball.

Should be possible. The Chnese Communists converted many captured 1911s to 7.62 Tokarev, and a few have come back to the US.

Has anyone ever seen a 30 Luger/Parabellum barrel for the 39/59? There was a mention of some being made in that caliber for foreign markets where 9mm is not allowed to non-military. I could accept one of those in place of a 30 Mauser/7.62X25 Tok.

As I recall Ruger made some pistols in a switch barrel .30/9mm Luger set-up.

Ruger did make barrels in .30 luger and a few complete guns.Sig also made the 220 in .30 luger/7.65 parabellum. The browning Hi-power was made in .30 luger and a few Beretta's as well. They appear from time to time on Gb. It's more of a European thing do to legalities etc.
