Default Hogue Wooden Grips for 3913; Any Experience?

Has anyone tried the Hogue wooden grips for the 3913 (or one of the other similar 3rd Gen autos with wrap around grip style?) Fit? Function? Durability?

I am considering ordering a pair. My reasoning is simply for appearance sake on a carry gun. I can probably find better things to spend >$100 on but I like fit my guns with nice grips.

Thanks all,

Cheers,
Jack

I have them on a 3913 and a 4040PD.
They are a little chunky compared to the factory plastic grips.
However if you prefer smooth over checkered, you can always sand them a bit thinner.

"Life is too short to carry an ugly gun" as I have read somewhere before. I believe Grinder posted a pic of checkered Hogues, in one of the 5906 threads.
