What are the Best S&W 59 Series Magazines (5906)?

I have seen these, but some look like way below standard:

Better:
S&W 15-rd Factory Stainless Mags

Below Average:
Eagle Alpha-Mag (S&W59) 15-rd Stainless
National Brand, no marks, (S&W59) 15-rd Blue
National Brand, no marks, (S&W59) 30-rd Blue

When in doubt always buy factory mags! The only "off brand" mag I trust are Mec Gar and if you can find them the old Ram-Line mags. The floor plates on the Ram-Line product do crack and break, but because of the design of the spring the things keep working!

BEST: MecGar flush-fit 17 round magazines. Less expensive than factory, 100% function, excellent fit and finish and 2 more rounds. Of course IMO the factory 15 rounders come in a very close second.

I would not buy the other mags you listed for anything more than $1 each with a $0.99 rebate.

I use either S&W originals or Mec-Gars as they have proven over and over again that they really do work flawlessly.

I'd stick with S&W or Mec-Gar 15rd or 17rd flush, or 20rd extended.

There was a time when S&W was looking to outsource their magazines to a new or second supplier and Mec-Gar was at the top of the list. They make magazines for everybody Beretta, SIG, Walther, FN, you name it. I have used Mec-Gars in my Hi-Powers, 59XXs and 1911s, and never had a problem with one.

Utterly reliable, and often cheeper with a higher capacity than OEM. That's even when they make the OEM too! (go figure?)

/c

Good quality, properly manufactured magazines are at the very heart of optimal feeding and functioning in semiauto pistols.

What was the question again? ;)

I choose to use factory provided/sold magazines in my 3rd gen pistols, BTW.

I spent a few hours online ordering mags for my 5906 last night. I watched the quantities dip below the amount I was buying in minutes! I ended up buying 17 rd Blue(nobody will see it in the pistol) Mec-Gar from a place called Copes. I ended up with three for $75 after shipping. Get em quick!

ditto Mec-Gar

they do 100%
I got a National 30 rd for my Marlin Camp 9mm and had to polish & adjust the feed lips and follower to get it doing 100% I bought a couple mec-gar 20's for it also.
