Recommend holsters for a 915 (5906), duty, CCW, range?
Do you have any recommendations for what you like for the 5900/4000 series? Say for security use, range use and/or concealed carry?

For range use (and I'm sure it would work fine for security) I like my Blackhawk Serpa. For ccw I like the Crossbreed Supertuck.

For duty use you can find a Safariland 6280, I bought a brand new one off gunbroker for under $30.

If you are looking for a one-size fits all holster to serve multiple roles, I think a simple pancake holster his hard to beat. Lots of good makers out there for this style.

As to holsters, I highly recommend the Bianchi " CarryLok" models. I have them for my Colt 1911, Beretta 92F and of course my 5904 and 915.
It's a model # 82 marked "Sig P229". The squared trigger guard 5904 and round trigger guard 915 fits perfect and safely! The only plain clothes holster I will carry. One hand re holstering is easy. Never any problems / issues.
Check them out & good luck!

The FOBUS SG-21 generally fits all the large-frame S&W 9mm guns.
The slide release will chew the holster a bit, but who cares when its a $20 holster.
