I hate summit gun broker!
Okay I was browsing around summitgunbroker.com and immediately clicked on the S&W section and I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw that he had received a shipment of 4506s for 445 bucks!!
I was so excited I actually made a "ooo!" "ooo!" "ooo!" sound as I fumbled with my phone to place an order and that's when I noticed it:
Right below the description, in plain inconspicuous type, was "All sold."
WHY????! Why would he do that to desperate slobs like me who have been looking for a decently priced 4506 for months??
If he HAS to keep the listing up, he can at least put a big red "X" on it to let you instantly and without a doubt that the guns are no long available.
I'm so depressed right now... this is prom night all over again.

The first time I was lucky with both money and a sale was the Bud's 3" Model 10's deal that happened a few months back. It had never happened for me and hasn't since then. But when you get in at the right time when you actually have the money...
It's a great feeling. If you haven't had it yet, keep trying, it feels goooooooood.

I'm sure it does. I actually had enough money to buy two of them (If I were completely financially irresponsible ). Still... that one hurt.

I knew it was a disapointment "Summit Sucks" thread, and not a bad service thread. I waited a few heartbeats last year and missed the 4013 TSW batch he had.

Same here man, i check that site daily all most. good people to buy from. I saw those on there and made the same sound, people in my office were like what is wrong with you, and then i saw they were all sold, then it was time for a nother sound or word i shoud say. Oh well next time, at least i got one of the 4006TSWs before they were all gone, love that pistol.

I too have had good luck with Mark, you might try contacting him to see if all the "SOLD" deals actually went through...he may have a pistol or two still needing a home. Doesn't hurt to ask...

Yeah, I really like dealing with Mark as well, it's where I got my surprisingly well preserved 4043 from, but you really have to be quick, lucky or psychic to get in on the really good deals. I put his number on my speed dial and made summithill my homepage so i can increase my odds of success by a little bit.
I never thought about calling to confirm if all the guns were actually gone. The 4506 pics are STILL up by the way.

Sure, you missed out this time. But your heart is pure; you'll get a deal on one yet. TACC1

Get it!
I've never been a big fan of the .40S&W cartridge, but the 4006 platform is an excellent handgun for that round.
I've only got one .40S&W in my collection... It's a 4006.

Not to hijack this thread, but a 4006 was my first .40, and that little tank converted me to a believer in the caliber! What a pistol!

+1 buy it. I shot .40 S&W for years from a Glock and it was a love/hate relationship.
I got a 4006 a few years ago and now I have it and a performance center version, and the Glock has largely been keeping the cobwebs company in the safe ever since I discovered the 4006 and how it is much more civilized shooting .40 S&W out of it.
