Hi,

I picked up a Marlin Camp 9 with 2 pro mag 32rd magazines today and so far am very happy with the purchase. I have always loved S&W products so when I found out is used S&W magazines I was sold (probably because its going to give me an excuse to buy another gun).

So I have a couple questions for the expertise of this forum...first is, does anyone have a good source for these magazines (910/915/459/5900) and a recommendation of manufacture? I have found some HERE but not sure if these are good choice or poor quality?

My second question would be...would anyone have a recommendation of which handgun I should get that would share these mags? I have a Shield 9mm and a m&p9c, so not really looking for an every day carry gun but rather a nice addition to my collection that is fun to shoot but still possibly carry if needed.

Go old school and pair it with a 659! And oh, yeah. Mec-Gar mags are good to go.

The 5906 is a great all SS 9mm that is indestructible and very accurate and very available for $400 and under. 14 and 15 round mags work great. S&W mags are best but I have had little trouble with after market too. The 910 is even less expensive at $300 tops. 669 and 659 take the 12 round mags.459 and 559 are 2nd gen that will also handle the same mags as the 5906. I have all of them and they are all great full size 9mms.

Go with the 5906. All stainless, tough as nails, great shooting, easily available, all around great pistol, and very affordable as well. Maybe the most produced S&W auto ever.......did I mention ALL stainless?.......

Minor correction - the 669 and 469 (not 659) take the 12 round magazines. They are the 2nd gen compact pistols that evolved into the 3rd gen 6906 and 6904.The 659 is a stainless version of the 459 - 2nd gen versions of the venerable Model 59. The 5906 is the 3rd gen and I agree - great pistol. Actually, you really can't go wrong with ANY of these choices.

It would be hard to go wrong with any of them.

The 12rd 6906 mags fit the Marlin as well (I also have one), so you can add that to your list of canidates.

I'd say that since you're not carrying it, the 5906 is the way to go.

One outside the box one to look at would be the Daewoo DP-51. Sarco has them used pretty cheap, last I looked (that may have changed lately). They take the same mags as well.

consider a wolff extra strength recoil spring and blackjack buffer for your camp 9 you'll be glad you did
