Have you heard of a Model 59 Vietnam Paratrooper? I have one I am looking at and that is what the guy says it is.

Hush Puppys were Model 39`s. The 59 was experimented with but not adopted by the Armed Forces.
I suppose it is possible someone in the 82nd had a privately owned one in VN late in the war. I have never heard of a Model 59 paratrooper in my reaserch of the S&W 9mm pistols.

I didn't really think it was a "Hush Puppy".
More likely an example of over exuberant salesmanship.
I've never heard of a Model 59 paratrooper, either. (But then, there are probably a lot of things I've never heard of, but I wouldn't know, because I've never heard of them.)

Thank you all, I was thinking the same thing, since I could find nothing at all anywhere pointing to a Model 59 paratrooper. But it wouldn't be the first time I missed something! lol Thank you all very much!

Does anyone know the last year they produced the Model 59?
My Gun Traders Guide says 1971 - 1982................
serial (A)180xxx - 1974 but Jinks/S&W for your SHIP date
