NYS Mag Capacity
The new magazine limit on all semi-autos sold in NYS kicks in I believe April 14. Does anyone have knowledge whether gun makers will be making 7 round clips?

The law was amended about 2 weeks ago in state budget negotiations. 10 rd mags are now allowed to be sold in NY, but get this, only 7 rds can be loaded. Unless you're at a range, then 10 rds can be loaded. I suppose paper targets are more of a threat than a home invader.

Whoa.
You'd SHOOT a home invader?
Why, you capitalist pig! What if an honor student wants a late night snack from your refrigerator? Besides, I heard on CNN that if you shoot someone in self defense the bad guy can stop the bullets in mid air like Neo in the Matrix, so no one needs high capacity magazines. Its on TV, so its got to be true right?

NYS Law
Ladder,
Thanks for the info. Sad to say I was unaware! I'm usually in the know when it comes to these things. Especially on range day when I see my shooting buddies. We talk at great length about this kind of stuff. Appreciate your input.

BX, where do you shoot, Olinville, Ardsley? I used to live in Throggs Neck/Pelham Bay area.

Range
Ladder,
I belong to West Side Pistol & Rifle. On occasion I shoot at Olinville, they allow magnum rounds. I grew up/lived in Pelham Bay for 40 years. Small world!
