Default Need help Garage Sale Find

Hi all, picked up a set of origional S&W 59 nylon grips along 127 yard sales and they have a rubber band melted on them from getting to warm in a case, what can i use to clean off the melted rubber band not out much if they dont clean up $5 any suggestions?

Maybe a blow dryer? The nylon should be ok.

May be a little Goo Gone will loosen the rubber.

Other choices WD 40 or mineral spirits.

I just wonder if putting them in the freezer will harden the rubber enough to allow it to be brushed off.

Mineral Spirits will dissolve the rubber band without harming the grips.
