Default break in a SW1911SC E series?

Hi guys, I've got some M&P's and like them a lot. I saw the SW1911SC, drooled over it for about 4 months and then got one. I am floored by how accurate it is and was talking to another guy at the range. He said that after 400 to 500 rounds they get worn in and shoot much better. Has anyone else had that experience? I'm up to 250 rounds now and shoot this much better than the M&P's. thanks

That's true with just about any pistol. Through use the parts wear in just like an engine. Whoever thought S&W would make such fine 1911s? The E series are truly nice pistols that can hold their own against any 1911. Enjoy yours.

Break in is expected. S&W does make a fine 1911. I have 3 of them. But they do not hold their own against any 1911! I skipped S&W on my last two 1911's. First one was a DW VBOB with a Black Duty finish, next is a Les Baer Premier II with a 1.5" package. Granted they are steel guns. That's what I wanted. I have a Gunsite commander, and a 3" Pro officers which are both alloy frames.

Tanks for the comments. Attached is a pic of the gun and the firsts 150 rounds results. Several layers of stick on's used. As far as better guns, I'm pretty much stuck on Smiths for now, but I did look very hard at some Kimber Ultra carrys.
