That makes me consider selling a old 3913 mag I no longer use.

Makes me glad I started buying all of the reasonably priced ones I could find a couple of years ago.

Yup, just purchased a new in the package curved floorplate, 8 round 3913 mag from a Gunbroker seller for $42 plus $8 shipping. Could not find one anywhere else and the pawnshop 3913 I am purchasing on layaway only comes with 1 magazine....
For what I am paying for the gun, I guess I can not complain too much.
Nocents - Thanks again for showing me where to pick up those 6906 mags!
I also found one of the floorplate adapters to use the 59 series mags in the 6906, so two Gunbroker factory 59 series mags are on the way as well. Now, just to find one more 3913 magazine as I like to have 3 magazines per gun.

Looked on Gunbroker right after the last post and snagged another 3913 mag for $26 buy it now.
Ebay has 2 more going for over $50 each. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Smith-Wesson...3D370990490628
I guess the 3913's are getting popular and mags are hard to find?

Don't asume that ebay prices are real. One dealer had a bidding war between to buyers that had less than 20 feedbacks. I have seen this before when a dealer fakes an auction so the auction reporting sites record a higher selling price. The dealer will later post the same item under a different name for say half and people have panicked and they will buy them.
You also have to becareful when the bidder info is secret. The dealer could also have a fake war. Today ebay only makes money if an item sells they dropped the listing fees so they tend to look the other way.

are you saying some sellers are LESS than reputable?? .......after looking at the bid history off 33 bids....all but the first 2 bids were made by 2 bidders going back and forth.....which lends credence to your reasoning.....there goes my dream of having $1200 worth of 3913 mags

I imagine with the huge backlog of magazines from S&W's vendors, even the 3913 mags are becoming harder to find (quickly, at least).
I've been through a couple gunstores in recent months and noticed some packaged 3913 mags hanging on their walls. I left them there because the prices were what I considered to be too high (over $40). I have a reasonable number of them (less than a dozen), although I may pick up a few more if I finally get a 3913TSW I've been considering.

Fast,
If that TSW is an early one, you'll need the 7 rounders as well as the 8 rounders, plus the CS9s with the pinky hook baseplate. The flat 7s work the best for me, though. I hope you get that 3913TSW. Enjoy.

The 3913TSW is a current production model, so it uses the standard 8-rd round mags. I've simply always wanted one to complement my late production 3913, but some how never seemed to get around to ordering one.
I've got an equal number of the 7-rd mags, anyway, since I own a CS9 and started collecting those mags almost 10 years ago.

The mag or the pistol is current production?
Reasonable deals are still out there if you hunt or have a bit of luck. If I had a 4013, I would've brought home what appeared to be an unused 9rd mag I found today at the LGS priced at $14.

Good idea, Fast. Some people collect Matchbook cars or depression glass.
I think S&W mags are a much beter idea. ;-)
