Gun show moron
Was at a gun show in north central ohio today, there on a table was a S&W 439 that someone had spray painted frame black and put a nickel slide on it which had been polished so hard half the smith logo was gone the guy had $485 on it, I asked if I could handle it and was told this was a very rare smith from the custom shop I told him the custom shop wouldnt put something out of that poor quality,! As I walked away a man came up and thanked me because he had come back to buy this gun because he believed this idiot!

So it was an ultra rare 439BBQ?
As the saying goes, "Buy the gun, not the story".

Whenever I see something like that I have to wonder if the REAL owner who chose that gun for its merits would have performed such an abortion on it... When we pay good money for a product be it a firearm or a truck, or whatever, I can't believe one of us would then go out of our way to destroy it...Kyle

They are out there. There are those who's desire to be different result in little purple or chrome yellow houses. They also may want to make their firearm different.
My daughter called me last night. She had just bought a Glock 23. She said the men in the LGS kept trying to sell her a little pink gun. She was adamant about getting a 40 S&W. After she paid up one of the guys said I can spray paint it pink if you want. She said you're serious? He said yes.
She declined, I said good you just saved 2 folks from meeting my size 12 foot.

Unsuspected buyer calling S&W Monday morning;
"S&W, how may I direct your call?
Yes, can you put me through to the 'Custom Shop' please? I need some S&W black BBQ touch up paint for my 'rare' 439."

You PassedThat Up?
What the seller didn't say is that the gun was a battlefield pick-up from the Little Big Horn and carried personally by Two Moons who took it from Custer who got it from Benteen! Do you wonder why it had some battle scars? If you snooze.......
