S&W Model 2213, What is it worth?
I ran across a model 2213, at a pawn shop today. I have never seen one before. I would rate the gun at 85%. No box, just one magazine. They are asking $249 for it. Would like to get some opinions of this gun, and if the price is in range for what they are going for. The little gun is dirty, and has one small ding on the back, where it looks like it had possibly been dropped. Thanks for your opinions, and suggestions!

I own a 422, 622 and 2206 - same family as that 2213. I love mine! They are a great little gun. For that price, I'd buy it. If you do, go find a few extra magazines before the next "gun scare". At one point during the last one, everyone was out of stock and I watched one sell used for $80...unreal. Great little pistols - very under appreciated.

CDNN and Midway both get the 8 round mags from time to time. The 2213 seems to sell for a bit more than the black 2214 model around my area, and I just sole a minty 2214 with box & 2 mags for $450.

I bought 1 about a year ago with box and 2 mags. $195 plus tax.
Best deal I may have made yet as far as price to performance. I love this little .22. It's got the barrel on the bottom of the slide. I have never had any problems/ jams. It's very accurate for it's size. My wife loves to shoot it too.
GO GET IT!
The little guy is on top..

I bought my 2214 three years ago for $185 out of a local shop. Today I think it's worth at least twice that on the open market.
It shoots so well that I retired my 2" Model 34-1 Kitgun.
CDNN had the mags at $22.95 not long ago so I bought 6 more.
BTW, the worst part about owning a 2213 / 2214 is finding a GOOD holster for it. If you decide to keep yours, my pal and our fellow forumie Lefty Lewis of Bell Charter Oak makes a nifty field holster for it called the "Sebago Kit"... Lefty's handle here is "Old Flat Foot".

You can also find Lefty in the "Vendors" section of this forum.

I'm new to guns.. like i just started last week and i have 2013...long story

Also, on a different thread (maybe forum) i read that the 2213 does well with hot amo. Could you share your experience and maybe a recommendation..

TGOE,
I have a 2214 (same as yours only in black) that definitely prefers High Velovity and Hyper Velocity ammo over Standard Velocity.
The magazines are not to hard to find but they do go at a premium price. Deals are found though so keep an eye out on Gunbroker or at your local gun stores in their used mag and holster bins.

I too have a 2214 and like it, as does my wife. Great little shooter. I use mainly HV ammo and have found it to be hiccup-free with anything I feed it.

Adding my name to the short list of people fortunate enough to have a 2213 or 2214. I picked mine up - sans box - a few weeks ago ... and I like them so much I'm looking for another. I've never owned a Model 41 - and they may be more reliable than the 422/622/2200 series - but I've never had a feeding/otherwise problem with mine. I had a 2213 many years ago in Arizona and foolishly sold it. Anyways - enough blather - they are great but fair warning on prices for mags nowadays!

I picked up my 2214 last year for $250+tax with only one mag, no box or anything else. I have since been fortunate enough (thanks to another member here) to pick up 4 more magazines for a very reasonable price.
Great shooting little 22 auto. Way better than my Sig Mosquito. Less picky about ammo too.
