Hi folks,
Thanks for the amazing resource in this forum.
I am considering a SW1911 108282 from the first run, circa 1994, I think (JRD87xx)
Condition is about 95% conservatively and it comes with box and papers, etc. No extra mag. The mag with the gun appears to be a Checkmate made mag.
Price is $695 so figure $750 out the door.

It would seem from what I have read that this gun would NOT probably have been among those that had big name aftermarket parts and/or supervised construction by PC smiths. Still, it seems to be a very tight piece, no slide rattle, excellent lockup, crisp safety, etc.
It is at least as nice as my E-series SC in terms of build quality, maybe a bit better even.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and any advice you care to share.

Cheers

Agreed, I would jump on it... 108282 is a solid piece, I still have one on my wait list at Buds PS, along with the comparable E-Series. They still fetch in the $900 range new for non-LE sales...

Thanks for the encouragement on this. Gonna put this on layaway now as I am suddenly distracted by the arrival in my LGS of the new compact M&P 22 pistol.

I know, I know...it's a toy compared to this 108282, but the fact is, i shoot a heck of a lot more .22LR than I do .45acp and I already have a few 1911's lobbying for more range time.

Thanks again, folks.
