Whats the best DA/SA pistol
In your opinion what is the best DA/SA pistol for EDC I think I would be more comfortable with one in the chamber with DA/SA
then I am with My M&Pc 9,Shield 9,Khar cm9,Khar cw9 sometimes
I carry 642 no problem there.
Thanks

My personal favorite is the 3913/14. I prefer a single-stack for concealability purposes. SIG's have a pretty good following around here, as well. If you're lucky, you can try a few out before you decide.

You didn't specify caliber, but from the models you listed it would seem that you prefer 9mm.
Based on that, I'd recommend the 3913/14. If price is a consideration, the "Value Line" 908 or 908s are good choices as well.
If you want something smaller, the CS9 is a nice choice.
For 45 ACP, I like the 457 since it's fairly common and reasonably priced. The 4513TSW is more finely finished, but they are more expensive and don't seem to pop up for sale nearly as often.
I pocket carry a 642 on occasion and it's a great piece for that purpose. I just prefer a semi auto with an extra magazine, just in case.

In 9mm: 3913/14, 6906, SIG P239 and the Walther P99AS (compact or "full size".)
In .45ACP: 4513, 457, 4516, SIG P220 (compact or full size.)
Though I'm fond of this beauty. (Hey, I'm just a proud parent. )

Here's what the 3913, 6906 and 4513 look like:
And look what a set of cocobolo grips do for the 3913!! They make it too pretty to carry!!
The 3913 is a single stack 9mm.
The 6906 is a double stack 9mm.
The 4513 is a single stack .45.
All of these guns have lightweight frames and carry easily. Of these three I prefer the 4513 followed by the 3913, but you can't go wrong with any of them actually....

This one might be have to be pried from my dead fingers, but if I get a crazy hair to sell I'll let you know. (Another member has first dibs though.)

I'm very happy with my 4013. It's comparable in size to a compact Glock, except its slimmer. 8+1 rounds of .40 S&W give it a very acceptable capacity. My example is an exceptional shooter as well.

I think the Hogue are just thick enough to fill the palm of the hand....... "Cokes for Autos".... LOL ........ and have no real effect on conceal ability......
Got a few off the Hogue Auction years ago at about half price....... that's dried up

Ah yes the P228, that was my second 9mm. I bought in 1995 and it's still going strong. Its DA pull is almost as good as my Smith's but its SA pull is way better. I put a short reset trigger kit in it so it would be almost like the Smith's and that turned out to money well spent. Lets not forget the Beretta 92 , drop a D spring (92D hammer spring) into it and that improves the DA/SA pull.
fyimo, what are the markings on your slide. I never seen them before. Here is a few pictures of mine

That shield is a Swiss Police Shield because the P228 was a Swiss Police Trade in I bought when they were imported about 4 years ago. I actually had two of them for a while and the other one had a different Shield on the top of the slide but I sold that one to one of my sons. I paid $500 each for both of them and the other one was cleaner than this one so it went to my son. I carry mine so it's going to attain more finish wear as time goes on. The one I kept was a KE date code made in 1994 and the other one I sold my son was made in 2002.

I'd probably go with the Hogues right off the bat. My 5943 with the rounded grips feels like it was made for me.
