What 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gen are you on the hunt for next?
Personally, I'm thinking 3906 or 3953 is next on my list. But a nice 39-2 or one of the 2nd gen single stack 9's might get the nod.
I'm on a single stack 9mm kick.
How about you guys?
What's the next single smith on the menu? Not a wish list for the next 30. Prioritize to one.

Oh man. Just as I'm typing this, I see a beautiful almost new 3904 for sale on gunbroker at a really sweet price IMO. But I'm buying a new lawn tractor tomorrow, and just bought a 45 cap s&w earlier this month
Ahhhh priorities lol
Someone here go pick it up.

I imagine an "affordable" shooter-grade 1066. I don't typically "hunt" for a specific thing (other than the CS9 I had to have, which now sits in a safe). I prefer to find things that catch my eye, then learn more about them.
I passed on a 2-tone 457 a few weeks ago, and it's still there, wearing out my resistance. I'm fearful of going down the .45 cal rabbit-hole!

Captain, we are hunting down the same trail. My goal is to own all variants of single stack nines. Then, going to the double stacks. However, my list generally is forgotten when I stumble upon a double stack nine I just can't put down. Heading to the Fort Worth Gun Show this weekend. It's an addiction and I like it. I knew that giddy feeling I got at last weekends show would wear off once I cleaned and safed my new finds. It did. So, here I go again

ACP for me...
A nice, clean and complete example of a 4516 would suit me just fine. All stainless, and rugged as all get-out. I love 1911's, but I really would love to have this 3rd GEN model!

Well, this thread is getting kind of redundant! But I'm with you. About the only 3rd Gen that would get my undivided attention would be one of the single stack 9s. I don't have an exact model in mind and I think I'd jump at almost any of them because I almost never see them. My only priority would be one that is in better than average condition.

Not actively hunting, but on the look out for a 457, 39-2, shooter 1006 or 1066 and a 4506. Ok...just about any 3rd gen .45 and most any of the 9mm's.

Whichever comes first at a decent price, between a 645 and 5906, in pristine condition.

No era,
We are talking about smith's design for DA/SA autos.
But those are nice 1911's
I'd like an original 1911pd scandium

Probably a 5906
Any 9mm third gen would be great. I don't know why I would want a first or second gen when there is a 3rd. The plastic guns are a real departure. Not that I wouldn't have one, but I REALLY LIKE third gens.

The later 39's have a svelteness and the full frame that the 3913/4 and 3906/04 lack. The 439 and 539 have a significantly different finish and asthetics, and are far more common than the 3906/04.
I don't care for the 2nd gen 45's, but a lot of people really like them.

He doesn't have a camera as he uses the money for 3rd gens. but I would love to see some photos of his extensive PC and non PC 3rd gens.
BTW: Congrats on another nice one 18!

With yet another crushing surprise financial crisis on my hands, the one and only gun that could possibly get me to go even further into debt and buy, against all odds and regardless of the consequences, would be my beloved Model 4506-1.

I'll be in the market for a 5903TSW and/or a 5926 sometime later this year. The TSW will be my new nightstand gun, and a 5926 would be a range toy/IDPA gun.

Already know the location of a very mint looking 6904 and 3913, also will be talking price with a local guy who may be looking to sell his 1006. So, hopefully I will soon be acquiring one (or perhaps all three) of these guns. We shall see!

No one appeared to have picked it up (should we be collectively referring to the same 6904) because I just happened to stumble across it earlier today, seems to me it was $349 at bid and $369 "Buy Now." The seller, "Prussia," is a Moriarty (methinks), NM (for sure), fellow from whom I've bought at least two S&Ws in the long ago and very recent past. He offers fair pricing for good product and ships quickly once the money is in his hands.

What 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gen are you on the hunt for next?
Wasn't looking but found another anyway.
In this case a 5943SSV.

My interests are in S&W handguns which have only two or three numbers in their designation, i.e. 28, 39, 41, 60, 629, 659, etc. Any more numbers are just confusing and make the gun "uninteresting" to me.
