659 Magazine Disconnect
Is it possible to remove the magazine disconnect feature on a 659?
The reason I ask is I own one and the pre-ban standard magazines work fine. But the two ten round ProMags that I have will not allow the trigger to engage on the last round in chamber with the magazine empty unless I push up on the bottom of the magazine. I have not been able to locate any ten round mags other than these Darn ProMags
Thanks

Galati International has Stainless 10 round Mec-Gar (superb magazines BTW) magazines in stock for $24 plus shipping. Take the Pro Mags out, crush them, and never say their name in public again!

I seem to remember that you can disable the magazine disconnect safety by removing the spring and plastic part under the rear sight. or was that a different model.
I so hate magazine disconnect safeties.

It is probably not the mag disconnect causing problems but the Pro Mags. They have a very bad reputation.

THIS ^
Promags are garbage. At best a 50/50 on getting a functional one. I got to the point where if I buy a used gun that came with Promags I just toss them out.

Yes I am sure it is the junk mags. I have three pre ban S&W magazines that work well. Living in California I try not to take the pre-ban mags to the public ranges just to avoid situations from unaware LEO if questioned. The rear of the promag at the top where it is u-shaped and the follower rides at top is cut a little lower than the stock S&W Mags. Thus the function ok when there is still a round in the magazine because the rear rim case protrudes above the rear of the magazine. It is when the magazine is empty and the last round is in the pipe is when I need to push up on the magazine to get it to function. I know the reputation of ProMags and could only find them in ten rounds when I was looking for a ten round magazine. I will try the other vender mentioned in this thread
Thanks
