This is a renewed search for a spurred hammer to replace the bobbed hammer on my 6904; love the pistol, just want to have a SA/DA and convenient ability to pre-cock.
I used to know the part# right off hand, but... I'll look it up.
Any help on sources, or does anyone have one laying about?
I know (now) that a half-cock style will not work; I bought one and tried to file the half-cock notch off, bad idea.

Others here have done the conversion with a 5906 hammer. Fastbolt will be along soon I am sure as I don't believe its just a drop in, but it is do-able.

Any 2nd or 3rd generation hammer will work. You will have to use the stirrup from your current hammer, as the stirrup on your current 6904 hammer is shorter.
I see these hammers on Ebay, and occasionally from Numrich. Make sure to try to buy from a reputable seller if you go to an auction site.

Yeah it is doable.😀 Not a drop in but pretty close. I just need to find that part without the half-cock notch. They seem scarce as hen's teeth.

Got mine from ebay and numrich. I did it to my 6904 and a 457 easy to do have a good set of small drift pins to keep things together. Good video on you tube on taking down 3rd gens.

Check accessories for sale or trade, theres an old post from (jebethel) looks like its still active. Has a 3rd gen hammer for sale.
