It occurred to me that I might like to have a spur hammer on my 3914. Will a hammer from any 39xx or 59xx work? What about any other of the 39 or 59 variations?

Now a safety question. Is there a variation of the safety that will reset to "Fire" after the hammer drops? Could that be fitted to my 3914?

Thanks.

There are decock only safety bodies from TSW guns that are spring loaded and return the gun to fire. Normal 3rd Gen slides can be converted to use them with a little machine work by our own BMCM. You can get the safety body from Numrich, they need a specific 45XX series right sight lever to keep the safety body on the slide

Stay with 3rd gen hammers (3904/6, 5903/4/5/6, 915, 909, 910) or you will add a half-cock feature to your action.

Those are somewhat hard to find.
