I was able to pick up this S&W 4566TSW West Va State Police pistol today. It has a Melonite finish with intergall rail. Does anyone have a letter for these? How many were produced? Any information would be much appreciated! The SKU is 150933.

Cheers!!!
David

Very nice, I have one of the Fresno Sheriff integrally railed 4566TSWs which I recently had the night sights relamped on but those melonited WVSP ones really catch my eye (I'm never going to be able to stop, am I?). Really wish S&W had decided to produce the integral rail 3rd Gens earlier and get a nice selection of them in 9mm, .40, and 45. I'm also curious as to the design changes between the Fresno County and the WVSP guns. Besides the meloniting and the serial number moved to the right side of the gun it looks like S&W beefed up the frame around the rail too for the WVSP guns and I wonder why.
