I just inherited one of these that looks brand new. Still looking for box and paperwork. What are these worth with/without it? It’s been fired but not much at all.

I have the shorter version I picked up years ago . Like murph said , you don't see them around . If you don't need the cash I would keep it . All it's going to do is get worth more over time . The way the stock market is going , it's a better investment than the NYSE .

I don’t plan to sell, just curious is all. As far as it being 622vr, I’m not sure. I just know it’s a 622 with a vented rib so I’d assume so.

I haven't seen a vent model for sale so can't help with price. I have a std 6 inch 622 I carry around the homestead for small varmints. Use it more than many of my handguns

Depends on when you sell it. LNIB I see going in the $700+ range, at times they have gone over $1000, and sometimes they are $650ish based on guns sold on GB.

NIB-ish, with correct box, I have also seen them go for over $1000 on GB. Very good pistol IMO, I have a 422 and a 622, and they are very reliable and ... not plastic ...

Was browsing through GB and found a nice shooter grade 6" 622VR to go with my two-tone 622. They are great plinkers and I used the 622 as a suppressor host.

Nice! Mine has the vented rib but the black grips. Given the choice I’d always choose wood but still a fun gun regardless.

I’ve been tracking 622VR’s for years. I still want an excellent one just for reference, but prices are getting crazy. More than I paid for my 41 Field Gun.

I’ve previously said this here but there wasn’t much response. WAY before S&W came out and offered the 622VR, Bob Loveless submitted to them his idea of a “revised/improved “ Model 41. It was a go but then no go. I really think S&W kept and saved some notes.

Just like the vent rib mod, Bob was doing the “scalloped” relieved slide. Some of the real PC’s mimicked cuts to the slides, not unlike the idea Bob submitted to S&W before there was the original PC Shop.

The 622VR image is one I was bidding on, I was not willing to be high winning bid.

Model 622 VR

I have a Model 622 VR in it's original case and has 2 magazines and a small chamber flag that is most likely original. Also the original manual and registration card. It appears to be new or like new. How much should I ask for it on GunBrokers and is there a better site to sell it on?

Contact Jim Brewster/ jjbrewst1, (here on the Forum,) /Sara15 on GB.

He is an honest, established, knowledgeable, fair individual and usually realizes really good sale prices. Kinda like Mark/Jack the Dog on GunAuction. Actually Mark would be better since he’s here in Oregon and it’d be easier for me to get it.

I’m not familiar with the cost of selling on GB but Sara15 has a big following myself included. Jack the Dog is of course legendary with a huge following.

I’d be sending any of my high end firearms to either of them if/when it’s time.

Jim
