I have had my CSX for about a month now. I started carrying it in a clip on Kydex IWB holster cocked and locked. After returning home from a trip to town I found the safety lever had moved to the fire position. I thought maybe I forgot to put the safety on but it happened again. Oh ****, time to change holsters. I have a nice Desantis thumb snap OWB holster made for my Kahr PM9. After a little work on the holster the CSX fit great. The safety levers are covered by the thumb straps and the fit is very good. The safety lever came off again today while I was in town. Anyone have this problem with there gun?
Is it safe to carry hammer down on a live round with the safety on? I don't want to do that but was just wondering.

I have had no issues. I carry in an Urban Carry holster with a spare mag. Safety never comes off unless I take it off.

I carry OWB & belly band, cocked & locked. Never had any problems with the safety coming off without me taking it off.

The brand and model would be helpful to know to determine if others with that holster have the same issue.

Try positioning the holster in different places on your waistline to see if the problem still exists.

I found the problem. I unloaded the pistol and holstered it. When sitting down in the vehicle the holsters thumb snap pushes against the left side safety disengaging it. On the IWB Kydex holster the right side safety is exposed and gets bumped off on the seat belt. My holster search continues.

I have had similar problem with two holsters over the years. First time was about 15 years ago with a leather holster that was molded specifically for my CS9. The inside snap of the thumb break would very positively catch the safety lever and flip it to the off position as the pistol was removed from the holster. The next time was last year with a kydex holster that I bought for the CSX, from a company that I previously had very good luck with, and the kydex was made such that it would sweep the CSX safety to the off position as the pistol was removed from the holster.

Now, since all of my pistols have ambidextrous manual safeties, whenever I get a new holster, I inspect it carefully to make sure no part of it is hitting either of the safety levers.

I contacted Vedder and Aggressive Concealment holster companies. Both stated they would make there CSX holster to cover both slide safeties if requested. Clinger is already making holsters that cover both safeties.

Clinger makes one that covers the slide safeties, but I purchased a kydex paddle holster off ebay. It's made by aggressive concealment. Cost was about 35bucks. I contacted him and asked to make my holster to cover both safeties. I contacted Vetter holsters who stated they would also make there holster to cover the safeties on request.
