I ordered two Smith and Wesson model 39 magazines from SARCO for testing. The two SARCO magazines appear to be the same magazines as sold by Numrich Arms/Gun Parts.com. The magazines are $20 each from SARCO and I received my two SARCO magazines which were delivered Saturday. The magazine was in a stapled clear plastic bag with no markings. The magazines I received were identical to the pictures on SARCO and Numrich web sites.
I’ve only shot each magazine loaded with my reloads which were mixed 9 mm cases loaded with 115 grain FMJ, 4.0 grains Accurate #2 and CCI small pistol primers. All rounds fired and ejected and the slide locked to rear on an empty magazine.
Here is a picture of the SARCO model 39 magazine. There are no markings on the floor plate and the followers are metal. The SARCO magazine is on the right, the factory model 39/439 is in the middle and the left magazine is a ProMag for a model 39.
The next picture is of the magazines laying on their spine. The two magazines on the right are the SARCO, then factory S&W mag, then ProMag and S&W stainless nine round 3904/3905/3906 magazine.
The next picture of the magazines is of the magazines laying on their side. From the left is ProMag, Factory S&W, SARCO and S&W 3906 for comparison.
