M&P Shield 2.0 45 ACP

I bought a S&W Shield 2.0 in 45 ACP. The gun came with 2 magazines, one with pinky extension and one that the base fits fairly close to bottom of the grip.
Both are marked 3 4 5 6 PLUS 1. I could get 7 rounds in the one with pinky extension but could only get 6 in one with the shorter base.
Is it me or is it the magazine ?

The flat base magazine only holds 6 rounds. The extended magazine holds 7 rounds. You'll need some really stout thumbs or a magazine loading assist device (uplula) to get that 7th round in the magazine.

Congratulations on your purchase. S&W has a rebate on that may be able to get you 3 free magazines. Not sure of your exact model, but their website has the details.

Thanks for the info. I filed for magazines the day I purchased the gun.
Has anyone replaced the base plate with after market bases ?

I do have a Pearce Grip extension on my 6 round magazine which gets me a full hand grip on the pistol.
