Got this gun from my father's estate after his death in 1992. His name was also David Reynolds.
He owned a gun store and bought guns from L. W. Seecamp. Seecamp made a pair of small, stainless, pistols in .25 ACP and .32 ACP. For a short time they offered a pair with the same serial number and you could choose your number. Dad's favorite number was 13, so he asked for that. They said 13 was not available but he could have 1313. When the guns were shipped, Larry Seecamp included the S&W 9mm 1313 as a gift.

So he was sent 3 guns, all SN 1313, one was the 313th gun in it's series, and that one is a (pre)model 39, which is 3 times 13.

Very, VERY cool. Is there a picture of all three guns together?

gmborkovic (Mike), the magazine is wrong. You told me in an earlier thread that it came from a 39-2. Looking for a correct mag if I can find one.

OutAtTheEdge, no picture of the three guns. My sister got the .25 ACP and the .32 ACP was sold.

I like the arched back strap of the 39s, just fits. Easier to shoot compared to the 59s, to me at least. Bought my -2 in ‘71 for $106. Came with two barrels, one with a smoothed ramp that feeds any kind of ammo. The other one is picky.
