Model 39-2
See my message. Bought the 39-2 in 1976 for $159.00. Very little use. In original box with 2 clips, cleaning rod, instruction manual, advertisement for S&W knives and holsters. Sales slip, warranty and original gun shop business card. I want to sell the gun to buy a CC S&W M&P shield plus. Anybody know the sale value?

Hello Ben, sounds like a nice complete 39-2. Standard production. $500-$600 range is a fair market value.

I'm thinking $600 for a blued one, a bit more for nickel. Welcome to the Forum!

Welcome to the S&W Forums. It's good that you kept the original box, tools, and documents as many would throw away these things. Having box, tools, and docs definitely increases the sale price of your Model 39-2. You say it has been used, but used very little. This does decrease collector value, the condition of the pistol is now very important. For a gently used 39-2, with box, docs, tool, and two original magazines, for much of the continental U.S., I'd say somewhere in the $600-$800 range for blued finish, add 10-15% for factory nickel plate finish.

Mr. Ben, if close to NIB, you can do better. If you are in need of cash, dicker up to at least. $550.

Yes absolutely someone would. List it here for say $650 with good pics of everything. If no takers after a week then drop it by $50, or include shipping costs. It's definitely worth more than an M&P Shield Plus!

Hi Jot. Welcome to the forum. I think $600 is fair market value. I'm pretty sure you will get it. Again, welcome to the forum. Peter
