Here is a chart from Gun Tests in 1999 comparing the HK P7 M8 with the Glock 19, 19C and 3953 TSW.

This article clears up some mis-information concerning the accuracy of the HK P7. There are people on the internet that are saying that the HK P7 series is more accurate than every other pistol out there.

HK P7's are indeed great pistols and very accurate for their size but they will NOT out do a Smith and Wesson Performance Center semi-auto firearm.

I have seen claims of 1/2" groupings (at 25 yards) from the HK however the evidence doesn't support the claim.

The best groupings produced from the HK was 1.5" inches with the average coming in at 2.3" inches for all ammunition.

Here is the URL that has links to other tests. Very interesting.

Also, I am shocked to see the 3953 TSW come in at less than 2" inches at 25 yards.

To this day, I have never seen a magazine test come in at better than .70" inches produced from the 952.

None of the mentioned pistols are intended for match shooting, so my view is "Who cares?" All of the pistols, the H&K P7M8 included, are more than accurate enough to fill the role of a combat pistol.

I carried an issued P7M8 for the last eight years of my career in the NJSP and I can attest to the fact that it was "accurate enough." The same holds true for the all the Glocks I've owned in the past (G17, G23, G30) and my currently owned Smith 1076 and MP357. ;)

Go to agree with Steve, 10 different people could test the same firearms and come up with 10 different results. What matters is what it does in your hands!!

love my P7's.......all 10+ of em :) they are a very accurate gun, but I can tell you a HK P9s will put any of those guns to shame as far as accuracy
