I have a former Fresno County Sheriff trade in 4506. Took it out for the first time this past week . At the range it preformed great, no ftf and a nice grouping. However, tonight while cleaning it I noticed something I don't know if it is okay. On the slide, there is a notch at the end of the guide rod tube? This is on the inside of the slide. Is this normal? Thanks guys.

Normal on third generation S&Ws', not a problem.

I have a Fresno Sheriff 4506 also. mine is new and was not issued. They had extras that went on the private sector. Very nice find.Fresno is issuing the 4566 now as far as i know.
