Default more guns in nickel finish??

How about offering more guns to there nickel finishes?
You been discontinuing the world famous s&w nickel finishes.
The nickel finish is as old as the s&w company. The Zars son of Russia even ordered the 44 Russian revolvers in nickel finish.
It's the same nickel finish to this day. The s&w nickel is a big part of the history and legend of s&w too. So why not continue offering it with every gun? Most popular models?

I'm looking for a 1911 in nickel.

One problem is that Smith & Wesson revolvers last way too long mechanically. No finish, whether blue or some sort of plating, can endure 10 or 20 years of use and exposure. Many guns are still purring like a kitten 100 years after they rolled off of the assembly line. The finish, if it's been used as intended, is the first to go.

The nickel finish rocks. Look at the older s&w revolvers in nickel if they were cared for they still look great for there age.

I always wondered why they didn't ever offer them in a hard chrome finish. All the guns plated in hard chrome look like they are still brand new without the peeling and bubbling of nickle finishes gone bad. You have to really beat up a chrome finish to have it go bad.

I prefer today's nickel to today's blue. Their older blue is fantastic.

Indeed. The few threads with people wiping off the newer bluing with regular old Hoppes #9 are a bit disturbing.

I drool over my nickel guns every time I take them out of the safe like a king drools over his riches. I'm a lucky man to live in a great nation where we are free and we can make our own choices in life plus I'm glad I found the s&w guns interesting before it's too late. But
It was the history of s&w that I was hooked on. Where would we be today if it wasn't for s&w making there new designs come true?
We'd be still with Colts SA black powder. I think the word innovation and s&w go together. We must not forget the past in knowing our history is very important. Only then we can vision our future.

Get the nickel finish even the Russian czars son knew that too.

Just be careful with solvent on nickel. I had to have a 19-3 2 1/2" refinished in hard chrome because the solvent sat on the finish too long and got under the plating. Thanks previous owner.

I just mop the bores very lightly. On the video the gunsmith uses simple green as a cleaning solvent. Since I purchased the new ones half priced I cherish them more knowing I have better odds stepping on a land mine that replacing them for half price again. The loc doesn't bother me anyhoo.
