1.0 slide guts in a 4' PC slide

Merry Christmas one and all,

So I have a question, and hopefully I can ask in a way that it will be understood.

I have a 1.0 Shield. I really like the PC shield with the 4' slide. I have a line on a PC slide, but it's only the core. I was wondering if I could just take my internals from my 1.0 slide and put them in the PC slide. I understand that I would have to get a new guide rod, but as far as the internals go, would the swap over?

Not having a 4" shield I can only compare it to the full size M&P's. And I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will correct me.

The internals should be the same including the recoil spring assembly. The barrel would be the the component to be specific to the slide.

The CDNN slide will fit the 3.1" M1.0 frame = On eBay Currently for $56...
The recoil spring & barrel are different, but all other internals are the same = striker assembly, extractor, striker safety plunger & their springs + sights
These early M2.0 slides will fit/function on M1.0 & Plus frames too
There was at least a couple of threads about this BUT could have been on another S&W Forum being there are several others...
The recoil spring is available on eBay too for $14.99 but the barrel is another story but should be available aftermarket
