10-5 help

Hello All,
I am looking to buy a 10-5 for a specific year. I have looked and searched for reliable serial number data but have been unable to find date ranges. Maybe I'm not looking in the right spot. Anyway, the revolver I'm looking at begins with C6141. Hoping someone can tell me the year model for this one. Thanks in advance for your help.

From the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson

The book shows this serial number produced in 1961-1962. That is as close as you will get without a factory letter.

Thanks again for the help. I keep finding other 10-5's and am trying to narrow the serial numbers to 1963 vintage. Could you give me the range of numbers I should be looking for. Thanks again for any help you can give.

C622700 is the beginning number for 1963 per SCSW. Anything in the next 2000-3000 numbers may be from 1963. Remember that when a gun is produced it goes into stock in the warehouse and may be shipped anytime from that year to possibly several years later.
