10-5 ship date.

I have a 10-5 2” that I’m trying to get a ship date on.
Serial # D871xxx. Pinned barrel and round butt.

The SCSW 4th edition says that the 10-5 was produced 1962.
The 10-4 was also only produced in 1962 and the 10-6 production also started in 1962.

I have a 10-5 . . .
Serial # D871xxx.

Made in 1976.

The Models 10-5 and 10-6 were made concurrently from 1962 until 1977. The -5 had a tapered barrel and the -6 had the heavy barrel. They were replaced by the -7 and -8, respectively.
