I have never shot PPC nor do I know alot about it. I do have a revolver though that my dad had built back in the 70's by a well known/respected local revolver smith and shooter named Chip Sipe. He never competed or shot it much. I think he had it built because a buddy of his was getting big into PPC.

It is a model 10-6, bull barrel with a full Bomar sight which sounds like what the prescription of the day was for PPC. I have included a some pics just for the heck of it. I will say that the double action pull is pretty amazing and the trigger breaks like a piece of glass! Don't know what I will ever use it for except shooting paper for fun but I don't think I will sell it.

Not a typical gun for this section but thought I would share as it is a part of the S&W story.

Looks like the guns I remember from that time period. I bet it would be a heck of a shooter, way over my skill level.

Looks like...

The one I used to shoot! They are great shooting revolvers for shooting PPC matches! I used to shoot as a civilian with the police officers. When I found out I could never go any higher than there because it was police only, I sold my stuff and never looked back! Would not mind having one now just to keep me sharp, but the IDPA is fun. Shoot that revolver and have fun with it!

Looks great. If I had that gun, I would use it for the centerfire stage of bullseye matches. Yes, revolvers work well for bullseye.

We used to put shims under the front sight to lower the point of inpact. That way we could aim at the head of the silouette target and hit the X ring that was in the middle of the target. HMB1004

Don't know of any PPC matches around here anymore.

It is fun to shoot and much more accurate than I am I know!:D
