With all the high prices for guns now days my purchasing has slowed down. I now just keep an eye out for a deal on something I like or want.
At the last AGCA show I walked up on this M10-7 not long after coming through the door. Nothing real special but you know how sometimes a gun talks to you. For some reason this one was saying it wanted to go home with me, so here it is.
M10-7 serial #6D4417x from 1980 with a 6" barrel.
Anyone else like these long barrel M10s?

I have a M10-5, 4 inch, but that 6" looks Alsum, looks like almost new, they usually have holster wear up at the barrel mussel.. If that's a good shooter with a nice smooth trigger like mine, It's better than the newer models..

I recently fondled one offered for $299 at the LGS. It was in great condition, excluding the fact that cylinder gap was on the "extra breezy" end of the spectrum. This is one area where S&W QC has frequently been lacking for decades. For me, I found the gun to be pretty whippy, having gotten used to heavier barrel configurations like my newly acquired 14-3 or 1942 Colt Official Police HB.

I collect Tens. The six inch was the hardest one for me to find. Eventually found a 10 no dash with a lanyard ring. Might get a letter on that one.

I have two, three, four, five and six inch guns in the collection. I have multiples of all except the six inch.
