Here are some tips for those of you new to this type of forum. Please add any that you have found to help us all get the most from this new software.
1. If you "hover" over a thread title, you will see a preview.
2. When you see a down arrow to the left of a thread title, it will take you to the new message that YOU have not read.
3. When you see the right arrow next to the name in the "last post" column, that will take you to that post.
4. There are three different editors built into the forum. (not counting quick reply) If you want to see smiles you must choose the standard or WYSIWYG choice. Pick the editor you want in the UserCP in the upper left corner of every page, under "edit options" it is the last thing.
5. The search on the top bar is to search the entire website, the search at the top of a forum title bar is just to search that forum.
6. Quick Links and New Posts on the top bar are COOL.
7. Don't forget to check the calendar to see everyone's birthday as well as how old they are!
8. Hitting the forum logo in the upper left corner takes you to the main menu.
9. When in a thread, don't miss the thread tools in the upper right, you can now email a thread to a friend.
10. You can now search within a single thread. Great for those 20 page threads.
11. You can now "vote" for a thread by giving it a rating. I think this thread is a 5 star thread myself. How about you?
