10 Round "Shorty" Magazines

It seems that S&W finally released the 10 round magazine that is truly 10 round - not a "pinned" 25 round, marked 10 round.
Maybe you guys already know about this, but in case you do not, Cheaper than Dirt has them for $17.91 - in stock. Check it out if you are interested - the picture shows the loading assist button and all. Cheapertandirt.com
Naturally, I ordered mine before I told you . . . . . . I imagine stock is limited.

Got Mine Today

I received the 3 10 rounders and a 25er that I ordered during the S&W Labor Day sale. They wanted $20.24 each, but with the discount and free shipping, they were $17 per.
Before I loaded them I worked the assist buttons dozens of times as the springs felt a little sticky. I even gave em a short puff of graphite dry lube. A few fillings each and they worked fine.
The followers are the old orange and the bodies are stamped 22LR/10 Round and 22LR/25 ROUND

Not a "Shorty"

Received my mags from CTD today - not the Shorty I was expecting - just a 'pinned 25' with no assist button. CTD showed the Shorty with assist button. I'll email then and ask what's going on

Why don't you guys like the long 10 rounders? I like the looks of them and they feel more like the 30 rounders I'm used to with my AR's. Just wondering why no one likes them.

The S & W website clearly shows a picture of a 10 round clip, "shorty" style...

is this the same that you ordered?

Shorty Magazine

Yep, that the one I was expecting. CTD customer service answered my email about their shipping a 'long' 10 round instead of the 'short' 10 round by saying that the magazine was 'drop shipped' and they don't see the actual item that is sent. They were supposed to check further, but I've heard nothing as of today.
