i have a chance to get a 1006 is has some wear marks on it.i was tradeing a sig 229 40 sw and getting $50 boot back what you guys think

Sounds like a good trade to me if you don't mind reloading 10mm. Around my house, shooting 10mm is too expensive for my budget.

Well, at least you won't have a hard a time keeping track of your brass. My one gripe about my 1006 is that it throws brass a long way with full power loads. Not so bad with pipsqueak range loads.

Most shooters who've ever owned a 1006 regret ever parting with it...eventually.

Stiffer recoil springs usually solve the brisk ejection in most guns.

One of my 2010 New Year's resolutions was to acquire all the Smith 10s -- of all flavors -- that I can...and to make sure I stock up on all the 10mm ammo I can while I can...
