1076 info?

Just picked up a 1076, S/N TFF98xx. I doubt its an FBI gun, but you never know. Is there a S/N range or database I can check?

Got the gun, original box, 2 mags and cleaning kit.

The only way to know for sure is to call Smith and Wesson customer service. As I understand it there are some general serial number ranges that are probably FBI guns but as things came in and out they ended up with numbers all over the place.

There used to be info in the stickies at the top of the page on FBI guns. The only way to be sure is to call S&W as stated, but there is alot of information. That said, you will find more sellers claiming their gun is an FBI model, than you would likely stumble across one cheap by accident.

The FBI guns had no mag disconnect and a warning on the slide IIRC.
