I picked up this 1006 at the end of last year and finally got around to shooting it. I haven’t had a 1006 in awhile and was getting really used to the grip and feel of my 1076. The 1006 shouldn’t be that much different, right? But I really sucked at shooting it:p I was going to split my mags between the two, but I was really embarrassing myself with the ‘06, so I gave up after 6 mags.
As usual, the 1076 is a pleasure to shoot. They both ran flawlessly with the 200 grain Berry’s plated over 8.2 grains Longshot with the 1006 averaging 1131 fps and the 1076 averaging 1095 fps. The same ammo through my new FPC was running 1311 fps avg.

Too funny.

I have the same pair plus a 610.
My results are the opposite. Of the pistols, my best groups are consistently with the 1006.
610 beats both of them. But with that massive underlug barrel, it’s a bit of a clunker.

One odd thing about my 1076 is that to shoot to point of aim with a wide range of factory and reloads requires the rear sight at extreme elevation. I should probably look into the practicality of a front sight change.

At what range are your groups?

I’m a bit of a 610 aficionado myself;)
You should try one in 10mm Magnum!

I shoot way better with revolvers in general.

My targets looked like yours when I would shoot my 1006. I always pulled down and to the left. I did figure out why. It's been a long time since I shot mine.

I pull my shots left. I have a flinch that I developed years ago. I am working hard to deal with it. I don't think I can get a release trigger for a 1911.:D

The best way I have to deal with it is to shoot semi fast, and the mind does not have time to mess with you. Just like trap doubles. Never a flinch, the speed of the game is too fast

I just picked up another 1076. I’m hoping to get to the range and shoot it this weekend. I’ll give the 1006 another go and try it out against this 1076.
