Bought what I believe is a pre model 10 today. 4 screw. No model number on the crane. Serial is C 3487xx. 4 inch barrel pinned. Square butt. I would like to know what year that it was made. Holster wear but tight. Thanks for any help.

Think it would have to be late 55, 56, or early 57.
C3487xx probably shipped in 1955, but shipment might have been in 1956.
