I have inherited several firearms, and I am trying to get an estimated value for insurance purposes. Most have been easy to track down, but I am having difficulties pinning this one down. I believe it is a pre-27 357 from the early 1950s. It has 5 screws and no model number inside the yoke. It has a 5-inch barrel. The serial number was behind the ejector pin and also on the butt. The gun has some wear on it, but is in overall good condition

Looking to get some feedback from the community on whether I have the correct identification, and the possible value of the firearm. I have attached several photos to help.

Thank you

Welcome aboard!
Your ID is correct; it's a ".357 Magnum" that probably shipped in late 1953 - early '54. 5" barrels are desirable.

If you're using NRA condition standards, "good" is an appropriate description. It does have some finish issues, but it should make a great shooter!

Value?? If you offered it for sale, you might get offers in the neighborhood of $1K-$1200.
