[S&W-Keeper]

I saw a model 13-1 today with adjustable sights. It had the model 13 factory barrel, and was stamped .357 mag.There was no shroud under the barrel so it was not a mismarked 19, and it was chambered for .357 so it was not a model 15.The back sight looked factory to me.Was this a special order, or would someone go to the trouble of putting adjustable sights on a model 13.If so it seems like a lot of expense.

Saw similar conversion in NC

About 6 months ago I saw a M-13 that someone had added a S&W micrometer rear sight to. Whoever did the work did an excellent job. Don't know how much it cost to do that but I don't think it would add to the value and might, in fact, lower it. If you can get it for a good price then have at it but if they are asking too much I would hold out for a Model 19.
