Went to an auction yesterday to bid on this 13-2 serial #3Dxxxxx. I started bidding at $200 , two other bidders to $400 and then myself and one other fellow ,my final winning bid was $750  I know way to much but I have a problem once a Smith is in my hand I have a hard time letting anyone else have it , no papers ,no box just a gun with some rust and beat up grips stamped with last 5 numbers of serial number . Started cleaning it when I got home on last cleaning sprayed G96 on it and left hang over night. Had to refinish grips just got it back together . Adding picture hope it comes in.

Prices are crazy on the older Smiths and will only go higher, especially at this critical time. As long as you are satisfied with it, that's all the matters. I like it.

Congrats! You got it looking real good. Also like your creative photo set up. Model 13's...one of S&W's finest.
Thanks for sharing.

I think it's a good snag, especially an older pinned and recessed Smith. They don't make 'em anymore. Consider it an investment. If you're cool with the price you paid and you're happy with what you got that's all that matters!

Nice gun I like model 13s and 65s a lot. My last private owned duty gun was a model 13-4 before the sheriff mandated only county issued revolvers could be carried.

Locks up tight , action like new . I think the last owner shot it a few times with sweaty hands , and put it away without cleaning .

You know what they say, you never paid too much, you just bought too soon!:D:D:D:cool::cool:
