I split my morning news viewing between Fox Business and MSNBC.......

The folks on "Morning Joe" were aghast that the Oregon shooter owned 13 or 14 guns...... a "war chest" of guns...........Why why "why so many".....Mika the co-host........kept using the word "limit".....in the context of we need to limit the number of guns a person should own.

Don't get me wrong I have nothing but contempt for "that guy" in Oregon............but listening to the folks at the table (except for Joe for the most part) I..............

Didn't know whether to laugh or cry ...........

around here ....... 13 is considered a good start by most.




Didn't Sean Penn give up something like 60 guns for his new girl friend...Charlize Theron........media didn't blink an eye except to praise him for giving them up!







Not political..but a "Cultural" observations ... I swear there are two America's out there....... that are passing in the night!!!!!

The other topic; that had the east coast media shaking their heads was the 300,000,000 guns in the US.......just did a quick google search ..... there are 309,000,000 wireless devices in the US.

With care most guns will last 2,3 or 4 lifetimes..........one of my Dad's guns is 77 years old..... except for some (10-1?%) bluing wear it's as GTG as it was in 1938.

My kids "phones" are outdated and need replaced every 18 months...........

Joe is a jerk and I can't and don't watch him. Even pro gun TV folk, think more than two guns are too many. I think Sean Hannity has admitted to a dozen. Guess I need tocatch up a bit.

I almost choked when Bill"O" said....the guys mother had to have known he had 13 guns. Why didn't she alert the authorities? If 13 guns isn't a red flag for a psychopath, what is?

I'm thinking about letting the grandkids color in all my "Killing" books.

If they're gonna start counting...I'm in trouble.:(
 
The local shop had 22 long rifle on sale. I bought 4 bricks. Oh no, I have thousands of rounds of ammo. I must be deranged.:rolleyes:
 
Slightly off topic - The interview of the guy's father about the 13 guns...well, it says it all. Very hard to listen to.

Back oh topic - MSNBC? You are a braver man than I.
 
Heard a different take on the multi-gun drivel on CNN. A guest said that the GUN FREE ZONE at the school created a de facto sheep to the slaughter atmosphere and that removing the restriction might have given someone a chance to defend themselves. The young CNN gal said that would not work because the shooter had multiple guns. Like you would draw your carry weapon and then do an inventory of your attacker weapons, and then what, re-holster and give up?
Sheesh.. Ya can't make this stuff up.

Mika had no logic just aghast that he could, at 26, own 13 guns.....

Joe..... kept asking your question..... what's a "good limit"...2,3...6. what???? ...the media folks had no answer but 13 seemed well beyond what anyone would need or could use....

Ronen Farrow (Mia's son)......kept trying to talk about a law in his home state....... Conn...........Joe was kind of like..."shut up Kid you bother me!"
 
Even a dilettante such as myself would run afoul of the dreaded thirteen gun limit & be declared criminally insane...but, to be fair, as far as the insane part goes, it's not the big a step...

The mother bears some responsibility in this horrific event.

She has been quoted as knowing of her son's mental issues, much like the mother of Adam Lanza.
