Just a quick heads up...If you have a "Field and Stream" in your 'hood, they have 1400 round buckets of Remington .22lr for 70 bucks. A nickel/round is a pretty good snag. (1 bucket per trip)

I would have thought rimfire ammo would have become readily available by now. OK, you can stop laughing......
That having been said, and with the outrageous prices big-box stores, gun show vendors, and gun shops are charging for rimfire fodder, the 'temptation' is grab a 'deal' when we see them.
I did buy one of these Remington buckets, and was sadly disappointed in the quality, or lack of quality with my purchase.
At least one out of every three rounds failed to ignite in my Ruger
Single-6 revolver, but had no ignition issues when I switched to Federal bulk rimfire.
I gave what I had left to a neighbor who was teaching his daughter to shoot a rimfire rifle. He had also experienced ignition issues but was happy to get the ammo anyway.

They had a full pallet out on the sales floor this AM. I walked up and grabbed one AND 2 boxes of .35 Rem Core Lokt.

It is not great .22 ammo, but with the exception of my Buckmark (which is particularly fussy), it fed very well on past buckets. It's always gone bang for me. It beats watching dust grow on your .22s!

They recently built a store fairly close, but I'm sure it's gone now.

Does anyone know it they did this at all retail locations?

(may be worth getting up early for!)

Come to Corpus Christi--and ill show you a dupe who has at east seventy of those buckets for sale.Only--he charges an arm,leg and your first-born--for them.Instead of seventy--morelike three hundred.

OMG. I'm actually heading to Erie next weekend to visit PSU Behrend. What are the chances they will still have them?!

Stopped by the "local" Field and Stream this morning.
Had never been there, so it was a good excuse to stop anyhow.

They had CCI Mini Mags 100Rnd for 9.99, limit 5.
Some other stuff I can't recall for 59.99/1000.

The CCI shelf was half gone after spending 10 minutes walking around looking at other stuff.

I talked to the guy stocking shelves. He said the East Coast got the buckets this week, while the midwest will get them next month sometime. I'll have to stop in there more often!
