Looking for some help dating a 15-2 with a serial number of 8615X. Its a blued snub. Anyone able to tell me when it was made? thanks!

OK, I think we have the right number this time. Model 15-2 snubby blue. The serial number is K7962XX. If what I searched is correct the -2 started in 1963 and the -3 in 1967. So can someone help pin point the year of this 15-2? Thanks a lot for any help.

The Standard Catalog of S&W shows that serial numbers: K779163 through K848781 were shipped in 1968. Hope this helps.
